Cristin Kelly

Dramaturg

Cristin Kelly is a Freelance Dramaturg, currently living in Sydney, Australia.

Her most current project is the website The Australian Theatre Writers Project, on which she publishes in-depth interviews with contemporary Australian playwrights. She also guest blogged her “100 Australian Plays in 100 Days” project for Australian Plays.org.

Before moving to Australia, she was the Literary Manager at Florida Studio Theatre in Sarasota, where she oversaw submissions, new play development, and an audience enrichment program. As a student, she worked in the literary offices of MCC Theater Off Broadway and the Alliance in Atlanta. She has served on reading committees for organizations committed to new plays, including Playwriting Australia, the National New Play Network, the Kennedy Center, and The Smith Prize. She is also the co-creator of several musical revues including Guitar Girls, My One and Only Gershwin, and Outlaws and Angels.

Cristin spent three years as an adjunct professor of theatre at Ringling College of Art and Design and has taught playwriting to students in middle and high schools across the state of Florida. She has been a mentor for emerging playwrights and directors through the Play, Me program at Queen Street Studios.

Cristin holds an MFA in Dramaturgy/Theatre Criticism from Brooklyn College (CUNY) and a BFA in Arts Administration from Brenau University.
